Sevastopol, Crimea, Ukraine What a place. Ukraine Crimea is a beautiful warm place full of nice peoples that know how to enjoy life. Yesterday, we went to east north east of Sevastopol in the breathtaking interior region of Tatar (not Tartar). We had very delicious Tatar etnic food served by very charming people in an open air warm and colorful rustic restaurant located in a stunningly beautiful canyon, Mangoop village, the scenery is so impressive. Food was cooked on open air pine wood cone BBQ, there were pieces of tender lamb with Tatar herbs & spices (unfortunately did not tastes the meat but even they had prepared very tasty Tatar vegetarian dishes specially for me), everything home grown, home made organic, wonderful homemade plum wine and I am bringing some of the Tatar spicy sauce. It has a very pleasant and unique decor, two clean bedrooms (one private upstairs), windows with lots of light and pleasant views. In the main room there is a huge set of hinged windows that open wide onto a pleasant balcony -- a great place for a morning cup of coffee or a glass of wine at night. An adjacent apartment shares a ground level patio full of exotic tropical plants -- it is a great place for a barbecue. And the location is simply superb !! It is a short 4 minute walk to the sea shore wth many interest shops and cafes and a short 2 minute walk to a nearby grocery store. And a short 6 minute walk to the center city, full of vibrant activity and shops and of course an always crowded McDonalds with a large outdoor seating area, right on the street so you can watch and sometimes meet the friendly local people. And the management and landlord are very attentive and helpful. If I again return to Sevastopol, I shall be sure to enjoy this apartment a third time. It is the best !! Nicholas J.
